Kintex was established in Auckland in 1995 by four people who were passionate about wool and the related wool products.  Our merino wool thermal underwear was born using the brand name Kintex.

Merino wool was chosen as it is the softest and finest wool in the world, used over the years by royalty and nobility.  This wool is perfect to wear next to the skin to keep it warm.
It is luxurious, lightweight and static.  The wool fibre is naturally breathable and as a result it regulates heat and moisture.  Wool is known for its great insulation as it absorbs moisture from the body while helping the body retain its heat and remain comfortable.
